About Scenius
What makes Scenius different?
“Culture eats strategy for breakfast,” as the saying goes.
We have both been designing and delivering successful strategies for more than a decade. If there is one thing we have learnt:
It is the culture, values and behaviours of your team or organisation which will make or break your strategy.
That’s why we use our broad range of coaching, facilitation and mentoring skills to help you develop, design and implement your strategies.
This enables clients to create the necessary alignment, co-operation and buy-in to take the strategy off the page into reality, to deliver the best possible outcomes for your customers, supporters and service-users.
So, as well as our consulting skills and expertise, we also bring:
Specialist training in coaching and team facilitation
Experience in leadership and team development
Tools to help unlock creativity and innovation in teams
This powerful combination of consulting and coaching skills is what characterises the Scenius approach. It can help take your own, and your team’s, performance from good to great!
“Rather than Genius, which is the gift of an individual, Scenius is the gift of a whole group of people, of a community.”
Brian Eno, musician and artist
How Scenius was born
The concept of Scenius is very much part of our DNA as a company.
The Scenius story begins in 2017 on the day we both started new roles as Director of Fundraising and Director of Engagement at a national UK charity.
In previous roles, we had seen the lost opportunities that happen when there is a lack of alignment between Fundraising and Communications teams. Therefore, we committed to work in partnership from the get-go.
So began a series of joint initiatives including moving both teams onto the same floor, getting the office wall between our two teams knocked down, creating a joint break-out area where teams could relax and hang out together.
Then we worked together to create a joint Marketing, Communications and Fundraising strategy.
The idea for setting up a consultancy was seeded in those early days of working together, but it wasn’t until the beginning of 2023 that the idea finally began to take shape and Scenius was born.
